The Community Investment Corporation (CIC) was founded in 1996 as a non-profit 5O1(c)3 agency to assist small businesses and invest in public purpose services. Working in collaboration with other agencies and through partnerships with crowdfunding platforms like Kiva (in conjuction with Growth Partners Arizona) and Wefunder, CIC supports early stage and existing businesses with access to capital to assist with sustainability and resiliency, as well as business expansion. CIC also provides charter school disclosure monitoring services as well as short term cash flow loans under its charter school program. Additionally, the Community Investment Corporation acts as fiscal agent for City of Tucson and Pima County home ownership down payment assistance programs.
