Executive Director, Southern Arizona Chapter
Courtney Slanaker assumed the role of Executive Director at the American Red Cross in March 2018. Before her current position, she collaborated closely with the Southern Arizona Red Cross chapter on multiple disaster responses as part of Community Organizations Active in Disasters from 2015 to 2017. Previously, Courtney served as Executive Director of the local non-profit World Care, overseeing significant organizational transitions and coordinating large-scale disaster relief efforts. A Tucson native, Courtney earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health with a minor in Spanish from the University of Arizona in 2014. Dedicated to advancing public health and safety for all, she is passionate about empowering volunteers and donors to support the vital mission of the American Red Cross.
